Next time you go to a race, take a quick scan of the demographics of the participants. Plenty of adults, not a ton of juniors, right? Right. The best way to help change that is by making cycling accessible for younger riders.
Omaha DEVO is a volunteer-run organization that helps introduce mountain biking to kids ages 5 and up. You can help DEVO by donating your unused gear, which will be sold at the Omaha Pedalers Bicycle Club Swap Meet on March 3. Just bring your stuff to either Trek Bicycle Store in Omaha (72nd/Jones or 73rd/Giles) and drop it off. Do your part to nuture the next wave of cyclists ... who will be dropping you on every climb before you know it.
