Here's how the past weekend's racing could'a, should'a, and would'a turned out if it hadn't'a turned out the way it did.
Racers were spread all over the place this weekend: Nebraska, KC, Iowa and Louisville, Ky., for the second leg of the USGP. In fact, that's where we'll start ...
- Mark Savery was third in the masters 35-plus category at the USGP of Cyclocross on Sunday in Louisville, Ky. Whoa.
- Troy Krause was in Louisville, too. Saturday, Sunday.
And in Nebraska ...
- Jeremy Cook thought he knew how to handle that tricky corner in Lincoln. He was wrong.
- Joshua Stamper raced in Lincoln, too, and threw in some pretty nice promoter/race crew feedback.
- Corey Godfrey had a nice weekend, but he's not getting ahead of himself.
- Kevin Burke took the Masters win on Sunday in Lincoln. Sweet!
- Randy Crist hit both Nebraska races this weekend.
- Jonathan Neve's education continues. Just wait until he puts it all together.
Down in (or around) Kansas City ...
- Dan Oldehoeft won the SS category at Smithville on Sunday, then got caught in traffic in the open race.
- Jeff Winkler has the word from Saturday (Berryman Epic) and Sunday (Smithville CX Challenge).
- Chris Locke has a little report from Smithville — little, because he didn't race.
- Something Classic in KC has a Smithville report, too. Pictures included!
